FinTech Australia Announces 2022 Finnies Award Winners

At the 2022 Finnies Awards, Driva and Wisr walked away (in a tie!) with the top prize for excellence in consumer lending. This is a huge achievement for both companies, and we couldn’t be happier to be sharing the award with a key member of the Driva lender panel.

The judges (made up of a panel of industry experts) were impressed by the customer-centric approach of both firms, as well as their dedication to innovation and technology. The award recognises that both companies have been leading the way with outstanding B2C lending results through innovative yet sustainable operations, and have been able to satisfy clients while sustaining sound financial performance.

The 2022 Finnies Awards was a night of celebration for the best and brightest in the Australian fintech industry held at The Forum, Melbourne for its sixth year running.

Driva Co-Founder William Brown explained it was a pleasant surprise to take out the award: “We were just happy to be a finalist - it felt great to be rubbing shoulders with some heavy hitters in the Fintech industry that we really admire.

“But to get the win was a really proud moment for everyone at Driva, and we couldn’t be happier to tie it with Wisr who has been a big part of the Driva story. 

"It’s a testament to the streamlined product our product and engineering team have built, and the excellent customer service and industry knowledge our operations team is able to provide. It is this mix of product excellence and operational expertise that underpins everything we do and that has driven our success to date.”
