Ongoing costs

• Registration. You’re legally required to register your car in order to drive it anywhere in Australia. The cost of this varies depending on which state or territory you live in.
• Insurance. In addition to the legally required compulsory third party insurance (which is often included in the cost of registration), you’ll need to also take out comprehensive vehicle insurance in order for your loan to settle with any of our lenders.

Your main consumer car loan options are secured and unsecured loans. A secured loan uses your vehicle as collateral and normally has a lower interest rate, while an unsecured loan won’t use your vehicle as collateral and tends to be accompanied by a higher interest rate.
