There are several Volvo finance options available to you, and it’s important that you understand what’s involved with each of them so you can decide what finance option will work best for you. 

You’ll need to decide whether you’d like to get finance through Volvo directly (aka Volvo Car Financial Services which offers premium financing), or through a finance provider like Driva. While going through Volvo financial services has a number of advantages, like allowing for trade-in vehicle arrangements, you won’t be able to shop around for rates. One major benefit of going through Driva is that you’ll be able to compare loan options from more than 30 lenders.

Driva has a number of financial services products available: 

Secured car loans

Secured car loans are a popular consumer loan product, and they involve using your vehicle as collateral against the loan. This will mean that you’re able to access a lower interest rate because your lender will see you as a lower risk customer. Secured car loans tend to be used for newer cars. 

Unsecured car loans

An unsecured car loan, by comparison, won’t require you to put up any asset as collateral against your loan. You’ll normally have to pay a higher interest rate with this type of loan. Unsecured loans tend to be used for older cars.

Commercial finance options

If you’re after a vehicle to use for business purposes more than 50% of the time, we have a range of commercial finance options available. These include a chattel mortgage, finance lease or a hire purchase arrangement.

To legally drive a vehicle in Australia, you’ll need to take out compulsory third party insurance. Depending on which state or territory you live in, this is likely included in the cost of registration. 

For your loan to settle with any of the 30+ lenders on our panel, you’ll need to take out comprehensive vehicle insurance as well. Driva has partnered with CGU Insurance to offer comprehensive insurance to our customers. 

Volvo offers capped-price servicing to its customers, but their servicing costs remain reasonably high compared to other similar luxury vehicle brands.
